Bernie Pearl - Recorded Live at Boulevard Music

Recorded live at the acoustic concert hall Boulevard Music in Culver City, California in May, 2002, veteran blues guitarist Bernie Pearl showcases his considerable chops on eleven classic blues numbers, and one sparkling original fingerpicking gem. "Dazzling, imaginative guitar backs his warm voice and upbeat stage presence on this notable debut CD for a man who has a near-legendary status in the L.A. blues scene. Any guitar student/guitarist, acoustic music fan, or blues lover would find something pleasing from this steward of the Southern California blues scene" -Char Ham, Southland Blues Magazine. Guitarist Pearl has lived and played the blues in LA since the early 60's. An apprentice to legends like Lightnin' Hopkins, Mance Lipscomb, and Mississippi Fred MacDowell, Bernie often performed with his famous teachers. He's backed up a veritable who's who of the blues: John Lee Hooker, Freddie and BB King, Big Mama Thornton and many others.
